Principal's Message

Principal's Message 2025-2026

Dear Parents and Guardians,

It is with great joy and anticipation that I welcome you to a new school year at St. Gregory the Great Catholic School. As your newly appointed principal, I feel incredibly blessed to join such a vibrant and faith-filled community.

At St. Gregory the Great, we are proud of our caring and dedicated staff who are committed to helping every student discover and develop their unique gifts. Together with our parish community at St. Stephen’s Parish, under the guidance of Fr. Liju and Deacon Leo, we look forward to supporting our students as they grow in their faith through daily prayer, participation in the Sacraments, and a deeper understanding of Catholic values.

This year, our division’s theme—Anchored in Faith: Guided by Grace, Uplifted by Hope, Transformed by Love—reminds us that our Catholic schools are rooted in Jesus Christ.  Just like an anchor holds a ship steady in rough waters, being anchored in faith and trusting in Jesus provides our students, staff, and families with strength and stability, no matter what life brings.

This year, our school continues to place a strong emphasis on academic excellence, faith formation, fine arts, athletics, and student leadership.

Above all, St. Gregory the Great Catholic School is a place where every student and family should feel welcomed, valued, and safe. We believe that by working together in kindness and faith, we can create a truly special experience for every child.

Your support and involvement as parents are at the heart of our success. Whether volunteering in the classroom, helping with events, or serving on our school council, your contributions make a meaningful difference. We warmly invite you to take part in the many events and opportunities we’ll be hosting throughout the year.

Let us begin this school year in prayer:

Loving God,
As we begin this new school year, we gather as one family in faith.
We thank You for the rest and renewal of summer,
for the gift of family and friends,
and for the strength to begin again with hope in our hearts.

Bless our students with curiosity, courage, and kindness.
Bless our staff with wisdom, patience, and joy in their vocation.
Bless our families with faith, unity, and love.

May this year be filled with purpose and guided by Your grace.
Help us to walk in the footsteps of Jesus,
to care for one another,
and to let Your love shine through all we do.

We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

We are excited for the journey ahead and so grateful to walk it with you.

Warm regards,

Kelly Jacobson
